The Hong Kong Museum of Art was founded in 1962 and originally was found in the Hong Kong City Hall. The focus of the museum is on Chinese art and culture. However any of the traveling exhibits include pieces from around the world. The permanent collection amasses over 15,000 pieces and includes all forms of Chinese art including calligraphy. This museum changes the featured exhibits almost every season. One spectacular thing about this location is the Flagstaff House Museum of Teaware. Some of the most unique items in the world regarding tea can be found right her. Remember, the Hong Kong Museum of Art is open everyday except Thursdays.
